Deadliest Traffic Combination Ever…
I don’t really like divulging my traffic details but here I am today compelled to create this particular article just for speaking my mind about an awesome combination that I “accidentally” stumbled upon while experimenting with my existing methods of traffic generation…
You see I am a fan of doing experiments and if you are anything like me you want to sell your winner results packages as a product right? But today I am not doing that because I feel its high time I ensured that some people out there do get a piece of my mind even if they do not know me and have never ever bought my products.
They call it “Explosional Marketing”
What do you see the top internet marketers are talking about when it comes to generating traffic. Well, no prizes for guessing that they are talking about Web 2.0 and how you can yourself leverage the awesome power of Web 2.0 and social marketing to drive tons and tons of targeted traffic over to your website and rake in the kind of sales that give you enough bolls to tell your boss- “Shove it”…
We have all tried that right? We have all tried harnessing Myspace and facebook and youtube long enough… What are the results? I mean are you seeing the bazillion biscuillion hits to your website and instant millions? If you are anything like me you are not…
but here’s what I see..
1.Just a handful of people visit my website and sign up into the opt in box every day when it comes to social marketing…. Note that this number increases slowly but steadily especially if you keep doing what it takes.. Building your profile and adding new friends…
2.Most of those people already know me or at least feel related to me because they have seen the social aspect of me… So they are already highly targeted and laser – focused especially when it comes to signing into my opt-in box…
3.Some of these people even talk about me to their friends… Why? Because they are pretty impressed by my freebie and are pretty happy sharing the resource that they have stumbled upon… ie the free information that I am providing..
here’s what I suggest you do… Stop thinking peanuts and start social networking… That’s a great way to start with your online business traffic generation system…
but… a big Saggy, Flabby but here…
Why not harness the power of viral marketing… And you can probably see where I am going with it now and probably even relate it to the experiment I did.
You see viral marketing is a tool that anyone can use but sadly only the top internet marketers are effectively able to use it. Why? They have an established credibility in the market. And people know who they are.. they have past laurels to rest upon and they have all the other people who are adding to their existing position in the market…
So what has the credibility got to do with viral marketing?
Well, in one word… EVERYTHING…
You see this is how a viral marketing campaign becomes a success…
1.EM (Established marketer) gives a freebie to a prospect in return of them signing up…
2.Then EM shows them another great product (which simply is great because the person offering it is an EM… thats what prospect thinks) which the prospect can get if they put in the name and email addresses of 3 or 4 or 5 of their friends…
3.The probability of this happening is quite high as the prospect feels that the EM is a reputable person and they are neither going to S.P.A.M nor are they going to misuse the contact information of their friends in any way….
4.The probability increases even more because of the fact that since the marketer offering the product is an EM, their product “must be great”!
5.So they enter the names and email addresses of some of their friends whom they think might be interested in it…
So you see, it all depends upon what is going on in the minds of a prospect… If they know that your product is great value and you are just giving it away for free, and this can actually add to their own credibility in front of their friends, they promote it…
But as I have said, they do not promote it until they know (or at least they think they know) the marketer (running a viral promotion) is giving away a lot of valuable content and their friends will never be sent unwanted messages…
So you ask, does it mean that the smaller marketer can never do viral marketing?
Well, NO. And explosional marketing is all about that…
Social networking when done correctly gets people to have faith in you and they star relating to you, but there is not enough traffic in there…
Viral marketing can get a you a lot of traffic, but there is no chance for smaller marketers due to the lack of credibility…
Combine the two and you have “Explosional Marketing”… get the trust from social marketing, get the volumes from viral marketing and you are already building a list at the rate of 10 signups an hour…
that’s what happened to me last hour and actually forced me to speak about it…
I would like to have your reviews on this…

Lakshay,
“Explosional Marketing…”
I like the sound of it.
What’s cool about this is that I have some great ideas for viral marketing in the near future.
But, I have never been much of a social networking type of person (my entire life!)
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about video in particular. I’m sure you’ve noticed that the top marketers are doing it…
It accomplishes a couple things, several of which you’ve already mentioned… people get to see them “socially” and feel a connection to their personality. This builds trust and credibility, and is usually much more entertaining than reading an article.
But, it is not for the bashful. You’ve got to be bold and innovative and believable!
I mean, take Jason M. for example.
He’s some great things in the marketing world, but imagine if he never had used a video camera? Would he be as successful today?
I doubt it. Not AS successful at the very least.
Here’s where I think I need to make a life change. I mean, I’m comfortable being myself, but I’m SO USED to keeping TO myself.
I tend to keep my life private from most people, except for of course my closest friends.
I tend NOT to talk about what I want to do with Internet Marketing, to keep it a secret of sorts, etc, unless I feel safe doing so.
Because, I mean, there are a lot of skeptics out there who will try to bring you down.
I think I need to get over it. Especially if I want to delve into video marketing! (That’s where the money is at!)
Thanks for being yourself.
