    ****

So, he immediately reached out to the drawer next to his bed and took put what looked like money. Oh… yeah. I soon realized it was actually money. Now… I was beginning to get frustrated. He already had the money. And he needed more?

I had to ask him… “What are you going to do with this money…”

But before I could complete my question, Sarthak was already on his feet and held out in his hand all the money he had saved. He held it out for me. His head was filled with pride. And he was beaming like never before.

You will be shocked to hear what he had to say to me…

“Brother! Here are a hundred dollars. I want to buy an hour of your time. Can you please play with me today because I am unwell and I have nothing to do?”

    OH…

    MY…

    ….

    GAWWWD…

    ….

    What was happening?

The kid’s been saving up money from his candy money for weeks and now he wants to give it to me so that I could spend an hour playing with him?

    I was in tears.

I mean… sulking like a little girl. This is like… BAD. I had been bad.

I was making money so I could get the best things for my brother and my family… well, apart from the things I’d buy for myself.

But you know this right? We want to make money not just for ourselves, but for the people we love.

And sadly, once we start getting involved in Internet Marketing, we stop spending time with our families.

Trust me- a lot of my friends who are successful internet marketers have the same problem. In fact this problem of not being able to spend time with one’s family is so universal that nearly everyone who’s successful AND everyone who aspires to be successful… in any area of life, profession or business, is suffering from it.

There are a few exceptions here and there, and we call them stars.

These are the people that have the life managed. These are the people that seem to have it all. They find time for themselves, and their family and friends. They find time to have fun, and yet they excel in their careers.

    How cool is that?

One thing I realized that night was this… I am going to make money online… oh yeah. But I will not end up being a slave to my computer. I mean- I will never do that. I want to be able to spend time with whom so ever I want, whenever I want.

I want to go places on a whim.

I want to have the time to get intimate with someone…

I want to be able to talk to people and help them out.

I want to be able to have time to create. And procreate.

To work on my body and my health. To work out. To swim.

I want to achieve inner greatness at the same time.

And I am sure you want to do all of that too, right?

The problem I found was this… and this one’s a big one. You have ONLY 24 hours in a day. And time is not elastic. I mean, you can’t stretch it to 25 hours. You just can’t. You have squeeze everything in.

    And that’s a problem right?

So I set out to find a solution for that problem that very day. Actually, as you will uncover in a few days, I have been finding ways to manage time and life for a long period of time now. But the actual break through comes only when you have a clear cut vision of your problem along with its implications, right?

So, in the next few days I will be messaging you to tell you the solutions that worked for me. But before I do that, I would really appreciate it if you could post if you’ve faced moments like this in your life. You don’t have to give out details… just tell me how you felt.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this.

First, I appreciated the story you told so eloquently. Second, perhaps you do not realise, being Hindu, that to Christians, using Jesus’ name as a swear word is offensive.
Thank you for the excellent information you post.

Very sad but very uplifting story. I can relate to that Lakshay…

I’m in the process of putting together a musical tribute site for my late big brother.. http://www.rolandlees.com (He passed away when he was just 41).

We do need to spend more time with those close to us, because once they’re gone….

      Anyway, take care Lakshay

      All the best,
      Col

PS Go buy your little brother a surprise gift tomorrow!!

      Hi Lakshay
Great story and great way of delivering it.. :)
Well, I am sure that everybody (or most of us) have experienced something like this. It’s not important to just experience it, most important thing is to learn out of it and implement in your life…!
I always take care (well, not always, may be 99% of time) to balance life and work as I have two kids and I know how you felt for your little brother in your situation.
Keep the good work going on, Lakshay :)
      Deepak
